Mike Cook
President Mike Cook has 17 years of experience serving clients as an independent health insurance broker. He started his business in 2007 after being told his family didn’t qualify for insurance due to a pre-existing condition.
Since then, Mike has been dedicated to helping individuals and companies fully understand their health insurance options, matching them with plans that meet their unique needs. He ensures all of his clients’ questions are answered and remains available to them for assistance with renewals, claims, or other insurance-related issues. His dedication to helping people navigate the marketplace earned federal recognition in 2021 and 2022
Before entering the insurance world, Mike spent many years in the nonprofit sector, working with organizations such as the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation, For Love of Children, the Heart Rhythm Foundation, and the Children’s National Medical Center. He currently lives with his wife, Ann Bartlett, in Alexandria, Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoys running and hiking with his dogs.
RACHEL COOK
Rachel Cook’s health care experience comes from working as the Director of Billing for an ER management and staffing company. A natural people person, she realized her growing desire to help others understand health insurance, so after 10 years on the hospital side, she joined her father at Insurance & Benefits Resource Group.
Since joining IBNRG, Rachel has been dedicated to advocating for individuals, families, and businesses who need help navigating their insurance options by finding plans that best suit their healthcare needs and budgets. Her innate passion for helping others ensures her clients receive the best advice and policy options, regardless of her compensation.
Rachel currently lives in Dallas, Texas. She and her fiancé, Garrett, enjoy food, wine, and visiting family members across the U.S. She follows a healthy lifestyle that includes running and fitness.
